Sick kitty help.

I've had this cat for one year now, her name is Jinx, and I've been noticing some strange things about her. She has been refusing to eat and is starting to become very thin. I have been trying to give her food and water when the other cats are not around, but she will only eat a very small amount and then stop to walk off somewhere else. It also annoys her when someone picks her up as if it hurts her. There was nothing wrong with her last week, this started about four days ago. I would take her to a Veterinarian, but I do not have the money to take her and my mom refuses to have anyone pay for it because of what happened with my other cat. If anyone might know what the problem may be with her, I would like to know please.
