Question Cat Constipation

My cat is 16 years old. I noticed when his bowels move they are very hard and dry. He seems to have a hard time going. What can I do to help him with this? Is there anything I can give him?

There is a product out there and I believe it is called Laxatone. Perhaps it will help. You might want to have your Veterinarian take a look at your baby....Some thyroid conditions contribute to an unusually hard stool. I discovored my cats' thyroid condition easily by feeling his neck. The gland is unmistakable, like an abcess. Or perhaps just old age. Good luck.

Default Constipation

Your cat may just need more fluids, offer more canned if on dry (teeth may hurt) and make sure you change the water daily. Some cats love fresh water more than others. You may want to also add a few drops of liquid chloraphill (spelling) to the water you can get at the health food store. Cats need their greens, mine love canned peas also. I hope some of this helps you.

Default Cat's constipation

Thank you Cat5. I will try your suggestions. He has been drinking alot of water recently. He has never been fond of canned food, but I may have to try again.
