Default Cat miscarriage

Hi,

we just moved house and our beautiful pregnant cat had a premature birth of six kittens all of which were stillborn, it was a six hour drive for her in her cage (which was on my lap as my partner drove) but I think it may have distressed our girl as she went into labour that night.

The first day after she was depressed but now, two days after she seems ok, eating and cuddling as usual but tonight I noticed some vaginal bleeding, is this normal? It it possible that the stress of the move caused some trauma that made this happen? We are very sad and plan on getting her spayed as soon as we can afford it (two weeks) is that too long to wait?

We inherited this cat already pregnant and have been told she has had one healthy litter in the past.

That's a sad news to hear. Be certain that everything she comes in contact with during this time is clean. She is very prone to infection during this time frame.
