Confused My Cat Is Won't Eat

Our Male Cat Was Just Diagnosed W/ In Bladder Infection. He Was Given Fluids Through His Neck And Was Well Hydrated When He Left The Veterinarian. Now He Won't Eat Or Drink. How Can We Re Introduce Food. He's Almost Afraid Of It I Think. He Is On Antibiotics For The Next 20 Days And Needs To Be Hydrated. Help!!
Also I Should Mention We Really Only Feed A High Protien Low Grain Diet. No Milk!

The stinkier the food the better, stinky food is more attractive to cats. Try fish and both raw and cooked liver. Also try treats. :-)

if none of these things work- go back to the Veterinarian and ask for a prescription for an appetite inducer.

you may want to talk to your Veterinarian about the hydration issue. iv fluids are actually very simple to do in cats. the needle just goes into the excess skin on their neck. the hardest part is holding them down but they can't actually feel the needle. see if your Veterinarian will give you the fluids to do so with if needed and demonstrate how it is done

We are battling a urinary track infection right now as well, but luckily we aren't having a problem with him eating or drinking. In the past when i've had a cat refuse to eat i've had luck with raw meat, i've used venison and liver, cut into tiny pieces. Just don't use raw liver on a daily basis, as that can cause a whole other set of problems. It's very important that you keep him eating. If nesessary get a syringable food from your Veterinarian and force feed. As far a hydrating, you can do the same thing, syringe water into the side of his mouth, a little at a time, make sure you go slow and let him swallow. What medication is he on? Peaches is on Baytril. We started out on Amoxi liquid but after 10 days he didn't want any part of it anymore. So far the pills are going good, 14 pills down, 10 more to go.
