Lol2 Adopting a Kitten

I just adopted an adorable little black and white kitten from our local shelter. She looks to be about 4 months old, very intelligent looking too. As I was looking over the orphans over at the shelter, I saw a cat and her litter of six kittens being brought in, and I figured this was a good time to get "pick of the litter". The black and white mom had 4 B&W kittens, and 2 tabby colored ones.

I looked at all of them carefully, and even though they had just been caught and brought in by the dog-catcher, they seemed the best choice.

She is a stray, someone put out momma when she had the litter, the animal control guy found the whole family on the side of the road...

Amazing, the mother was very friendly, and the kittens (not all) were friendly. Some seemed scared. What monster turns out a mother and her children near a highway, after obviously being acclimated nicely with people... Almost serial killer level cruelty imo...

Anyway, after shuffling around the shelter holding the one that came to me, sort of chose me, I decided to adopt it. I think the rest of the family stands a good chance of getting adopted, I hope so.

I already did the paperwork, and they put a chip in her. I will be picking her up around the end of next week. There is a waiting period for owner (lol) to claim, and she has to see the Veterinarian for the basics.

I will post some pictures of her when I pick her up.

Very excited about getting the newest member of our family! Already have a name for her, "Sarah".

BTW ANYONE is welcome to post pictures of their pets anywhere in pethealthforums! I would enjoy seeing pictures of your pets, so don;t be shy, post your baby(ies) !
