Unhappy Help--worried about my cat!

My cat was throwing up a couple of days ago and has since, has stopped. She is eating a little bit but is not herself. She lays in one spot for a long period of time and will get up from time to time. There is no blood in her vomit which we had experieced before. I would take her to the Veterinarian but it is impossible to put her in her pet taxi or even have someone hold her. She is about 12yrs old. Please tell me this is not serious but I am affraid it may be her time.

Worried Mom.

Sorry to hear about your cat...

You really need to find a way to get the cat to a Veterinarian... could be kidneys!
Kidney failure is not a good thing--

Please find a way!!!!

Default Worried about my cat

The symptoms describe sound like an overactive thyroid condition. My 20 year old cat was diagnosed with that about 3 years ago. The Veterinarian will prescribe medicine and she'll be fine. But you need to get her to the Veterinarian.

Someone wearing leather gloves can easily force the cat into a carrier. It is less cruel to force her into it then it is to let the sickness go untreated.

Wear a HEAVY long sleeved shirt and leather construction gloves. Do it FAST so as not to prolong the negative experience. Talk soothing to it while it is in there.
