Question cat vomiting, is it a hairball?

My cat has been throwing up for 3 days and I'm starting to get pretty worried. I'm looking online and signs point to it being a hairball blockage but it would be nice to get some input. She got out a few weeks ago and got a flesh injury, which I took her to the Veterinarian for, so she had to wear a cone for a while and when she got out of it she licked herself for what seemed like a day! Her injury is healing quite well and she seems almost herself again. she got the cone off on Sunday and started throwing up on Tuesday. the first one had hair in it, the rest have been food and just water, with 2 more small hair ones (she's puked about 8 times). She has energy but is not as frisky as usual and has been hiding out a bit, but not like when she was sick in the past. I'm going to call my Veterinarian in the morning but doubt they'll give advice over the phone and I'm a poor college student so.. I'm planning on picking up some kitty laxative for hairballs tomorrow. Has anyone else had this experience? does that sound like what it is?

Well, I would probably take the cat into the Veterinarian. It could be a hairball blockage, and if it is, I don't think anything but surgery will help. I don't know for sure, though. I have never had that problem.
