Can you give it with food?
My cat loves canned pumpkin and its good for them too (high fiber helps eliminate hairballs) don't get the pumpkin pie filling, that has too many spices, just the plain pumpkin. Perhaps you can put the medicine in that to give to her? Another idea is canned cat food, those are pretty smelly so may hide the taste/smell of the medicine.

If you choose to go the pumpkin route, just make sure you don't give too much, just a tablespoon or so. Too much fiber can be bad too.

Thumbs up Arthrimaxx cat product

Hello,

I am from the Animal Nutritional products company that MFG's Arthrimaxx. When dealing with any feline it always becomes a little bit of a problem. They best and recommended way to give the product is on the food, mixed in well. DO not put it in water because you always want your cat to have fresh water with nothing in it. The product is actually the fastest growing product for cats that have osteoarthritis. Everything you want to know about all of our products is on are website at arthrimaxx.com. On the back of the bottle and in our brochures it clearly states how to give the product, which is very easy to give.

Rob

Default Athrimaxx, Osteo-X

This company is a farse. It has stolen ingredients from other existing company's products that have been around for years.(canine liquid health)
It violates all Structure function guidelines(cant use a condition or ailment incorporated in the products name)
Arthrimaxx---Arthritis
Uro-maxx--Urinary tract infection
Osteo-x--Osteo arthritis
Fosters and Smith was told by the FDA it cant claim what this company claims, its products can do.
This company has another company to hide its bad following and to hide sales from the Dr's that are selling it. animalnutritionalscience.com animalnutritionalproducts.com
This company is under investigation by the FDA,AAFCO,NASC.
This company is going to be involved in a class action lawsuit just like the owner of "Airborne" all its false claims cost the owner over 25 million and had to change all of its labels.
If you are using this or any of animalnutritionalproducts or animalnutritionalscience
pour them out, save the bottle, so you can cash in.
I would also suggest going to the FDA web site and fill out a complaint for reporting unlawful sales of medical products.
As A DR. for over 25 years i dont understand how any Distribution companys or Veterinarian clinics can support such a company.

Default ArthriMAXX is safe and effective, indeed

The previous poster is being sued in another civil matter, and does these posts occasionally for a "kick". They are NOT a doctor or a Veterinarian. They are a disgruntled former associate.

Please feel free to investigate any of ANP's claims or products. There is NO FDA investigation. Period.

The product is both safe and effective. Period.

I have worked for the company for 18 months, used the products on my pets, and know what I say.

Arthrimaxx is just a nutritional supplement. It's not yet proven effective. More info here: fleascontrol.com/arthrimaxx-dogs-cats.htm

There are plenty of clinical references on Glucosamine HCL, Chondroitin, and the other ingredients. As for "just a supplement", that isn't entirely accurate, as all the ingredients are human-grade and superior in the manufacturing to many other supplements.

Plenty of info here too:

Default Uromaxx probably saved one cat's life

Five year old male (Weight = 6Kg), twice within two months catheterized to relieve total urinary blockage. The only one of a six (adult) cat household with any medical problem. All are former rescue/shelter cats.

For many months prior, recurrent bouts of trouble urinating with varying amounts of blood. After 2nd near fatal blockage, started 1ml/day PO Uromaxx. It is now ten months WITHOUT ONE PROBLEM INCIDENT. My conclusion: this stuff really works.

I know it's supposed to go on his food, but he doesn't like it - won't eat anything with it. I bottle-dropper maybe 20 to 30ml into a small bottle normally used to refill printer ink cartridges. The very small long thin 'spout' fits inside the needle end of a 5ml syringe (without the needle).

You have to be careful to squirt across the mouth, NOT down the throat, or you'll put some into the lungs and cause a lot of coughing. From well back on one side, I aim at the upper rear teeth of the other side, squeeze slowly, and usually don't spill a drop as he swallows the dose.

Do I like the nearly forty dollar cost? Taking him to the Veterinarian for catheterization, along with lab tests, x-rays, and several days' stay cost many hundreds of dollars per time. Do the math. Do I like the cost? No. But it's worth it not to see him suffer, trying to find someplace to pee where it won't hurt. He didn't know what else to do. He was desperate and in great pain. If this stuff keeps working like this, it's the closest thing to a miracle I (or my Veterinarian) has seen.

How many otherwise wonderful cats are euthanized for a problem as easily handled as this? If the FUTD doesn't kill them first, that is.

Bill
