Default Spaying a cat - complications involved?

Our kitten is exactly one year old. We recently arranged for spaying the cat, the surgery was done abt a week back. They told they would be keeping her for about a week in the hospital, we were strictly told not to come and meet her. But since she refused to take any food and they couldn't handle her anymore, we were advised to take her back home within three days. She was taken to the hospital everyday for examination. On the 5th day one of the doctors noticed a slight swelling and apparently a stitch gave away. The inner layer was restitched and outer layer was restitched as well. On the 7th day a tight bandage was given for the FIRST time.

On the 8th day, that is today morning at 9 A.M. a lil iodine solution was poured over the bandage. We brought her home. Around 11 A.M. she started to behave a little weird and vomited a little as well. A friend of us suggested another doctor and we took her to him. He opened the bandage and showed that the wound was not closed properly and a portion of the intestine was visible and we were told the intestine was infected. We could realize that the doctor in the previous hospital did not do the surgery efficiently and have not done a proper job and ended up putting the cat on a great peril. We took the risk and did a third surgery, even though the doctor told us the chance of survival is only 75%. She got consciousness around 7 P.M. in the evening and vomited everything. She seems totally exhausted now.

A simple procedure has been so complicated by the negligence of the doctors, that she has to undergo this much pain. We still have hopes and praying for her fast recovery. Hopefully she recovers by tomorrow afternoon.

We seek advice from the forum member who have undergone similar ordeals.
