Unhappy Seizures

We adopted 3 kittens 5 months ago, the female (all 5 are fixed) we beleive has all her shots (we have some records). She has had 2 seizures that we know of (few weeks apart). Violent convulsions, lots of saliva, stomach fluids. Seems to be ok after, we did notice some left side stiffness, lazy eye lid. We would love to get her care but can not afford large bills. Can anyone narrow down what she may have? Very worried!

Your baby having seizures is heartbreaking. Keep a journal...note duration, severity...etc. Usually the Veterinarian will say once a month is tolerable.without meds. My boy was on phenobarbitol. Putting them on meds is time consuming and because of the bloodwork that must be done, expensive. What I really am concerned about is the other problems you are describing, like the eye. Some drool and even urine evac is normal. As you may already know there is no cure, research and a good Veterinarian that will not put you thru the hoops is a good bet. A seizure is like an electrical disconnect...and unfortunately there really isn't alot of good info on feline seizures. I wish you the best of luck
