Cats that eat dry can have bouts of dehyration.Indigestion is caused by inadequate chewing. Vomiting is very common. When acid reflux builds up in the stomach, they begin to vomit. Even if they have always eaten this,, they often become intolerant to corn and gluten which are used as filers in most supermarket cat foods.Vets push science diet because they sell it but it is not a great food as it too contains corn and gluten.

My cat just had a bout of puking, so I understand your concern (she puked 8 times in less than 30 minutes!).

You should definetly get the cat to the Veterinarian for fluids. Dehydration is much more severe in cats than it is in humans.

Also, baby food works well, as does force-feeding the cat water with a syringe.

If you're feeding a dry food, I'd try a good quality canned food. Cats were originally bred to be desert-dwellers, so instinctively, they depend on getting liquids from their food. Some cats have a hard time processing dry foods, so they end up just spitting them back up at you. Try very small meals of canned, and barring anything medical being being wrong, things should get better pretty quickly.
