Default my cat has red ears

I have a 7 y/o female cat and the inside of her ears are red, Im assuming mites or an ear infection. I havent seen her scratching them or paying any more attention to them then normal. Im wondering if there is an over the counter remedy to try before I take her to the Veterinarian? thanks.

Default Red Ears

The advice to take your cat to the veterinarian for a professional evaluation is excellent. They can look in the ear canal where you can not see.

However, since this cat is not in any pain and is not scratching or rubbing the ears if I was going to treat at home I would use Zymox Otic which is an excellent over the counter ear medication to kill bacterial, yeast, fungus and virus of the ear.

Please take her in to see a Veterinarian. If your Veterinarian doesn't know what it is then see a different one but find one that will look into her ear, do some cultures or treat it with antibiotics or fungicides. There is no way to give you an answer to this online. She needs to be seen.
