Default My cat is throwing up blood!

Hello everyone, I'm new here and I need some advice about my kitty. He's been throwing up blood off and on (a week or two apart), but he has a normal appetite, however he has lost 3 or 4 lbs. His normal weight was at about 14 lbs. and he's down to 10 or 11 lbs. Does anyon have any ideas what it could be? I don't want my kitty to die...I love him sooo much!

Anything involving blood (no matter what end its coming from) is a serious issue that needs to be seen by a Veterinarian. It could be something as simple as something he ate or it could be something serious like cancer.
The weight-loss would be disturbing as well, he needs to be seen by a Veterinarian.

I had a cat who had a tumor in her mouth that we removed, but it came back(we knew it would, it was just a matter of time). It didn't come back to her mouth though, it was somewhere lower down. Unlike your cat, she stopped eating, but it wasn't because she wasn't hungry, in fact she was starving, but it hurt her to swollow. One day she was just so hungry that she forced herself to eat, she threw it all up again along with a large quantity of blood. It was at that moment I made the appointment to have her put to sleep.
