About 3 weeks ago we got a puppy that is 6 months old from my husbands friend that could not keep him any longer. He has been great most of the time. The only problem that we are having is peeing. He seems to go to the bathroom all the time. I take him outside priase him for going the bathroom and we come in. About 10 min later he pees in the house. I even stay outside for a while to make sure he is done, but he still some in and pees. The man we got him from said that he was house broken and he does have all of his shots. He goes out about 5 times a day and pees everytime, but he also has about 4 accidents in the house a day as well. I am going crazy. My older dog hides most of the day because she knows that you cannot pee in the house!!!
I do not know if I should take her to the vets or just let some time pass and see if he hets better. Thanks nicole |

i had the same problem with mine, it took us about a week, we started using puppy pads and took him to the same spot every time he looked like he was about to go, it really works, but Tuckers mom (see urinary control in this listing) had really good advice, it could be a urinary tract infection.luckily are's was just being a puppy but you should get him checked.

Thank you, deanna. Mine turned out that we couldn't get a urine sample, but the Veterinarian gave us Amoxicillin for her and we are waiting for it to kick in and hopefully fix the problem. Time will tell.

Puppies have a tendency to be drama queens. I have a four month year-old husky that screams like a baby when he doesn't get his way. When we put him back on puppy food instead of rice and chicken he had a hissy-fit and wouldn't eat for days. Finally we gave in and have slowly started the adjustment again. We also have a 9 month puppy that is a boarder collie. She is the sweetest, easist going dog i have ever met. And she can catch a frisbee like no other. So i agree get him checked out but puppies can be puppies.

In my case, it has gotten WAY better, so mine had a UTI and with some Amoxicillin, she is making HUGE progress. It's always a good idea to get it checked out, just in case.
