Sick English Mastiff
Hi, I have a 7 year old english mastiff. He has been diagnoised with heart problems and Kidney failure. He is taking a heart pill every day and lasex shots. He has totally stopped eating dry dog food and sometimes will eat canned food. We are trying to get him to eat anything but
he just isn't eating much. He is getting very weak and we need to get his strength back. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to give up on him yet. He is the love of my life. The Veterinarian says he isn't suffering, just weak. Thanks, Lori

Boiled chicken and rice? There are speciaty dog foods for certain things...maybe he would eat one of those. My Veterinarian in Punxsy gave my dog Purina EN when he had liver problems. Purina makes others, too. Who is your Veterinarian?

When my Muttley was fighting cancer, the Veterinarian told me to try various things to find something she would eat, chicken, beef, soup, even baby food. What does your Veterinarian suggest? Keep us informed, please.
