Spinal Problems in greyhound

We have a 13 year old male who appears to have a spinal problem leading to him soiling his bed and losing some temporary feeling in his leg. We find that massage helps but only for a short time. Does anyone have any similar experience and if so, did you find a suitable treatment? We are waiting for an appointment with an osteopath. Another symptom is that when he is nervous about the lack of sensation in his leg, he goes to ground. We and our Veterinarian are reluctant to consider surgery due to Ned's age.

No matter what you do , do not hesitate. Time was of the essence with my dog roxy. She was only 7 and I had to put her to sleep yesturday because she suffered from a ruptured slipped disc. The swelling caused paralysis and then her organs started to become paralyzed. Please catch it early and you could be saving his life. Jill
