Idea Growth on Sheltie

I have a 10-year old female Sheltie (my best friend & companion). Last week while grooming her, I found a large lump (cyst?) on the inside of her left front leg near her "elbow". She doesn't show pain when I press it nor does she limp when she walks. Has anyone experienced a similar problem with your companion?

I had the same issue with my dog. She is a mix breed, and when she was approx 8 years old, she developed the same type of lump (maybe the size of a nickel) I had it tested, and it was benign. Since then she has developed about 4 more. At her last check up, I had them all tested, again, all benign. They do not change in shape or size, they do not seem to hurt at all, and one has gone away. My Veterinarian said it was not a concern. I would have your Veterinarian test the lump for peace of mind, but it is not definitely a bad thing.
