Default whinning clingy dog

We have a 11 year old Pek. Lately ALL DAY he sits and stares at me and whines. I have to carry him down the stairs due to arthritis, but today when I take him outside he just stands there. I am going crazy. There has been no major changes in our household. Please help I don't know what to do anymore!

I would take your dog to the Veterinarian, he may need more medication for his arthritis. But also, it sounds like your dog is bored, if possible, I'd try some type of obedience training that is easy on joints. An active, trained mind allows for a more balanced dog. Water therapy may be something to consider.

It sounds to me like he isn't feeling well and needs you for his comfort. Poor thing. I suggest taking him to the Veterinarian. Metacam worked great for my dog. Ask your Veterinarian about this med. and make sure there is not something else going on with your dog. I'm sure you know that he is definately getting on up there in age. Good luck.

That means he is trying his best to tell you something. This is more then a mood change, take it to the Veterinarian imo.
