Exclamation help

I have a rottie/shepard mix. She's almost 13 years old, but is in great condition. I have a concern and was hoping someone can give me an idea what's going on. Two days ago I was awaken by a yelp and went into the living room. Sassy (rottie/shepard mix) was on the couch as usual. She was sitting up with her paw up in the air. She screeched a loud yelp that woke me up, but there was nothing I observed that was wrong. In the morning...she was walking on three legs and she has her right leg off the ground. I moved her leg up and down and there doesn't seem to be anything broken. No swelling, nothing. She walks slowly and carefully, cause she doesn't want to hurt. She has had problems in the past with her hind legs, but that went away. I have been giving her some rimadyl for pain and it seems to help, although she still is walking on three legs. Has any ever heard of something like this? Her right leg from the joint above the paw is limp and flops. I'm hoping with rest and the pain meds she will get better on her own. I lost my job yesterday, so I can't take her to the Veterinarian. I'm concerned and at a lost. Any suggestions on what could be wrong would be appreciated.

I wonder, which leg was hurting her? the hind right or front right?

Please take her to the Veterinarian. I am a single mother of three with no support and currently out of work, but, I would do anything to have my dog back. I had to put my black lab to sleep yesturday for a herniated, ruptured disc which led to paralysis (she was only 7). If you catch something early it is way cheaper than if you wait until it is bad. There has got to be some help out there. Try the ASPCA and see what they suggest. Jill
