Sounds like an alergic reaction to something. Have you been doing ANYTHING different? Different soap, food or flea spray?

Any time I hear hair loss around the eyes on a puppy, the first thing that pops into my head is demodectic mange. You should see your Veterinarian to rule this out. Sometimes it needs to be treated, and sometimes you just wait a bit to see if it will resolve on it's own.
Don't panic. If it's demodex, it's not contagious to you or other dogs. Demodex canis is species specific. They only infest dogs. Virtually all dogs have the mites, and their immune system keeps them under control. But sometimes a puppy's immune system isn't quite up to the task, and the mites get out of control. If the lesions are limited to the face and front feet, they usually resolve on their own. But if they become widespread, the dog needs treatment with medication to kill the mites. The red bump on the thigh is probably not related; it's probably an insect bite...a flea, maybe? |
