I am not sure if this is a "wives tale" but I have heard it said that when a dog eats poop it is because there is something missing in his diet. A lack of some nutrient. I would suggest making him stop at all costs. This activity is a major cause of worms. Even if the dog he's eating after does not have worms, he could still get it. If he gets in the habit of eating this, he will also eat it from squirrels, mice, cats etc... PS Do yourself a favor and don't let him lick you or your children in the face... For obvious reasons...
