Confused My Dog is Suddenly Clingy

I have an almost 2 year old Pit Bull named Betty who in the past 2 weeks has become suddenly clingy. It is towards me, and not my children or my boyfriend. She's always been somewhat of a "baby" and more my dog. She has always had separation anxiety when we left. Yet, she would be able to sleep on the couch while I am sitting in the chair or even go sleep in the bedroom alone until we go to bed. We also have another Pit Bull which is 9 years old. Both dogs have always followed me around the house during the day, but Betty now is on top of me all the time. When I am sitting in the chair, which has an ottoman, she insists on squeezing her 60lb. body right next to me and laying there until I get up. I've witnessed her shaking a bit also, crying a little here and there, panting and/or breathing heavy. Tonight, she has had one of her "babies" (a stuffed animal with a squeeker) close to her. It was really wet, s I threw it on the gorund, and she cried and went and got it and brought it back up to the chair, and currently has her head right next to it. At night she has always slept in bed with us. Actually right between us, and in the recent past I've noticed she has to have her head on some part of my body. If I get up she will move her head to my boyfriends body. I'm not sure what is going on with her, or why all of a sudden she has to be right next to me, touching me all the time. I thought it was cute at first, but now I'm wondering what is up with her? Nothing has changed in our home at all. So, I'm at a lose.

my boxer is having very similar issues. At first I just thought she was cold. She sits right next to me and trembles even when she doesn't feel cold to the touch. I am concerned.
