Nuts are also very bad, especially walnuts.

Pork, including hot dogs, can lead to severe pancreatitis, as well.

Also watch out for lawn mulches that are being made with cocoa. I have heard that they are highly appetizing to dogs and, being made with cocoa, are very very dangerous.

Default Food for Dogs

"People Food" is not bad for dogs per se. However, if people are not eating a healthy diet than generally it is bad. In times of turmoil and economic strife people ate all kinds of things, so did their dogs. This is not ideal by any means. There is a natural diet for dogs and we should try to adhere to that as much as possible. Including organic meats and organ meats if possible, fresh clean water.
I do believe there is a place for supplementation. Especially with rehabilitating dogs. I have 3 dogs that I have rescued and I have been using the Dog Whisperer RESTORE and BALANCE supplement products found at PetCo. The dogs love the taste and they are very bioavailable.
I also found a website, hopefully I can post it here, where you can get 32 oz sizes that aren't available at PetCo which is Pet magic.
Hope this helps. Best to anyone who is gracious enough to share their life with a dog.
