Liver Disease

Our family dog has had liver disease for several years now. He is an 11.5 year old std poodle. He is so intelligent. He knows so many words.

Over the past week he has become pretty week. a few days ago he was so weak that he could barely walk or even bark. he had to go to the emergency Veterinarian for a few days. he needed IVs and possibly blood. the liver disease can cause bleeding through the rectum. Luckily he didnt need the blood and after the first day he was doing a little better at the Veterinarian. he has severe separation anxiety and probably made himself worse being away. it effects his stomach. Now he is spitting up bile. we were hoping the new meds would help him gain some strength, but I dont think there is much hope.

what can we do. he is part of our family.

So sorry to hear about your pet. Sounds like it could be Pancreatitis. Please consult with your Veterinarian.
