Sick PUPPY

I have a 6 month old lab/chow who is not eating, or drinking. All of a sudden she went from a super active puppy to a latragic pup. Any advice out their. I've noticed that she throwing up and even hesistate to drink water when she come to her bowl. I have gave her 1/2tps of pepto, and also been giving her pedia lite to keep her hydrated. Ijust don't know what else to do. Can anyone help. Thanks

You are doing the right thing by keeping her hydrated.

If this has been going on for more than 24 hours, it's time to get her into the Veterinarian. It is possible she has an obstruction from swallowing something too large for her to pass - this can turn into an emergency quite quickly. I'm not trying to scare you, but, it's not an uncommon thing to happen.

Can you give any more detail about this - ie. how long has she been like this? is she pooping at all? If so, is it normal poop? What is she vomiting up?

She is just throwing up the water and pedialite that we give her. I have more than one pup so I'm not sure if she's pooping. All I know for sure is that she keeps vomiting. It's now going on 24 hrs.

If the pup is not better this morning, I would definitely get her into the Veterinarian. Hopefully it's not an obstruction or anything that can't be taken care of easily.

My Puppy did not make !!!! She left us and now is in puppy Heaven. Thanks for your advice. Now I have to call my 6 yr old daughter and let her know that her puppy died. She's visiting Grandma in Texas! What a summer vacation this will be!!!
