Unhappy brain injury

have a one year old yorkie, name magnum.. came home last wednesday and he was dead laying in his own bloody diarhea.. gave him cpr and brought him back but he has head injury due to lack of oxygen... he has spent a week in the hospital and after a 4000 dollar bill came home, but continually fights to move around cant walk or even get to his feet.. had his first bowel movement this morning and calmed down, had been barking and howling non stop until this morning so we had him on valium over night.. also has no control of urinating and has to be fed through syringe.. has a shake each time he stands which knocks him over... my question is did i do the right thing and can anyone share a similar story for encouragement or offer help with the symptoms.. he cant be left alone for he smacks his head off everything and gets his head caught behing his shoulder and lays on hit own head... love him to death but dont want to keep him suffering if this is his perminant state.. doc seems optomistic but doesnt really know.. any help would be greatly appreciated including prayers.. rob and bevin
