Possible Cushings Disease

Hi Everyone!
First time poster- first time here!

My lil Ziggy, is apparently showing signs of Cushings Disease.

She is a gorgeous, very good natured Min Pin who loves cats & kids~ age is a guess as we adopted her June of 2007. Picked up as a stray~ Our Veterinarian thinks she could be 4 years of age.

This Veterinarian also said she has bad kneecaps (and strongly suggested surgery without any x-rays taken to this day) as well as arthritis and straight away put her on Dasuquin & Metacam.

Zig is also about 3lbs overweight & is now on a restricted diet.

The Cushings is not yet confirmed but suspected.
Her symptoms seem to be things she has had since we adopted her~ very hearty appetite~panting~and lots of potty breaks.

These blood tests seem very costly~195.00

I have read up on Cushings and see that some arthritis/joint meds can actually lead to Cushings Disease! Unreal shocking news to me! I've also read that it tends to affect older/senior dogs.



Has anyone here had a similar experience to share or tried this natural "remedy" Supraglan?
I would appreciate any comments, suggestions or advice.
