Question Boxer Coughing/Throwing up blood

My 9.5 year old boxer, Chance, started coughing about 3 weeks ago. I took him to the Veterinarian, thinking that he may have contracted Kennel Cough over the holidays. The Veterinarian determined that he did not have Kennel Cough. She found a swollen lymph node and suspected lymphoma. She also found some lesions on his lungs.

She aspirated the lymph node. The pathologist indicated that the lymph node is not cancerous. However, a disgnosis still has not been made. After a week of antibiotics the lesions are still prestent on his lungs. He woke up in the middle of last night coughing and vommitted blood.

Please let me know if you have experienced this with your pet and know what may be going on.

Well, my schnauzer (link in my signature) has lympthoma and NEVER went through any coughing bouts. Not sure what it is, but it seems correct to me that it is not lymphoma.

I actually have the same problem with my american eskimo. She started coughing up blood and throwing up mucus and dosent want to come out from under the bed, wont eat and also pooped on the floor which is very unlikley for her. I was actually looking for answers on the web when I found your story. Its 2:00 am june 22 and as soon as the Veterinarian opens I am taking her there.
