![]() My beloved friend Go Go has been diagnosed with lymphoma today. Now what? We will call the oncologist tomorrow. She has had a rough breathing thing going on for about a month and we treated her for a urinary tract infection in June. She seems pretty good although she had been getting a little more tired on walks than usual. Does anyone know what I should do? I can't imagine 4 to 6 weeks. I have read that even with chemo, they only get another year on average. Thank you for any suggestions and your own experiences. George and Go Go |

I'm sorry to hear about your dog's condition. I've read in an article that the life expectancy of a dog with lymphoma is between 9 and 12 months. However, it is possible to send a dog's lymphoma into remission with constant medical care, and regular chemotherapy. And with proper care, the survival rate of a dog with lymphoma can be raised to 50%. I hope your dog will win over this disease.
