Thumbs up Great Treats!!!!

Here's one of my favorites:

Rover's Rewards Dog Biscuits (Sadie approved!)

Ingredients: The whole recipe

• 1/3 c Margarine, softened
• 1/2 c Powdered milk
• 1 Egg, beaten
• 3/4 c Hot water or meat juices
• 1/2 ts Salt or instant bouillon - optional
• 3 c Whole wheat flour

Or...this one below is in half: Makes 18 treats

• 1/3 c Margarine, softened
• ¼ c Powdered milk
• 1 Egg, beaten
• 1/3 c Hot water or meat juices
• 1/8 tps Beef base
• 1 ½ c Whole wheat flour

Same directions

Directions:
In a large bowl pour hot water over margarine. Stir in powdered milk, salt and egg. Add flour, 1/2 cup at a time mixing well after each addition. Knead 3 to 4 minutes, adding more flour if necessary to make a very stiff dough. Pat or roll to 1/2 inch thickness and cut out with a biscuit cutter. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Allow to cool and dry out until hard. Great for cleaning teeths!!!

Enjoy!!

Default Bad choice of ingredients

Animals should not be fed wheat products and NO ONE should use margarine. Instant Bullion or powdered milk.

Think about what your dog's wild relatives live on. Does that diet include any of these ingredients? Of course not.

Domesticating Cat and Dog diets has been the primary cause of poor health for tens-of-millions of dogs and cats as well as predisposition to disease.

There are smart choices for food and treats. Check out natural pet stores that specialize in holisitc foods like www.furballsandfelabags.com I am sure they ship if you do not have a local alternative.
