At 6:30 this evening, we are taking my sweet little Casey to the Veterinarian to see what is wrong with him!.
We got this precious little Springer Spaniel at 7 weeks old.......about 3 years before my son when off on his own and I became an empty nester. Casey was eleven in June of this year. I've had many dogs.......but this little clown has stolen my heart! He is an obvious replacement of the void I felt when my son left and moved out of state. In a nutshell..........Casey has developed swollen lymph nodes. He's acting differently and I am sooooo frightened that he has Lymphoma. In fact, I cancelled Saturday mornings appt because I just couldn't bear to know! Over the weekend, my husband and I have cried and commiserated over this. What would we do if it's the worst? Right now the thought of losing this little guy is tearing my heart out! Maybe it's just an infection? Maybe he has a tooth problem that lead to an infection?? We were just about to schedule an appt for a teeth cleaning....and now this. The anxiety of this evening is killing me! I am not functioning and just want his warm little body next to me in bed. I'm devastated!! I've left out 11 years of joy and other problems with Casey..........that could come in time. Right now I'm asking for support and prayers for him. I hope this picture works..............here he is with a smile and a polo hat on.....lol ![]() |
