My chihuahua was prescribed Pred 5 mg #30 for itching last year. The directions were: 1/2 tab orally twice a day for 3 days then 1/2 tab once a day for 3 days the 1/2 tab every other day as needed.

A couple of weeks ago, he started itching again.

My question is: how harmful is it if dog is not weened off predizone? He was given 1/2 tab for 3 days.

I'am not expecting medical advice. I just want to know if anyone knows if it is harmful to do this.
