Default ACL Recovery

My Mason just had ACL surgery this past week it is really stressing me out.
I know he's a dog and will figure things out BUT I feel so helpless. Any suggestions? Because the surgery is on his favorite side to lay & sleep on he just don't seem to lay down until he's to the point of exhaustion???

Poor baby. Recover is never easy - dogs just don't understand the way we do so they don't understand the importance of remaining calm during such a time.

I would recommend stuffing a Kong full of his favorite things, including canned food, yogurt, pumpkin, etc., and let him work at things like that to keep him occupied.

Hopefully he'll go through the recovery without incident.
