Grieving And Loss - Pet Loss Did you loose a loved one? Many of us love our pets with all our hearts, they are our children, our friends and companions. Loosing them can hurt as strong and deeply as loosing a human. Love does not care what species you are. This forum is to remember our departed. Please post your best memories, pictures are fine, we will even allow short movies.

Default hard to say goodbye

after hearing from internal med that gator was not going to get any better, my thoughts ran to the day we first brought him home from the shelter, lanky legs, big head , no one wanted this pit bull but i saw something different, a good soul that just needed a family, he proved us right he was the best friend i've ever had. gator never left my side, and i never left his.

Since you got him from the shelter you already, very likely, prolonged his life FAR more then what it would have been. Dog's in shelters rarely make it out alive, most end up being put to sleep.

The service you did to this living creature is etched on your soul, and the mercy you have shown by sharing your home and your heart when it was needed most will not go unrewarded in the grand scheme of life.
