Default I lost Skeeter this morning...

I had to have my cat, Skeeter put down this morning. He was in total renal failure secondary to being treated for his thyroid. He just started acting odd yesterday afternoon. He was my very first pet ever and I will miss him. He is being cremated just like Tucker and I take comfort in the fact that the two of them are having a blast together. Skeeter is probably tormenting Tucker just like he allways had!

He was going to be 13 in a few days. He was beautiful and by far the loviest cat I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. We knew this was a possibility when we started the thyroid meds, but I guess you never think it will happen to you. He went quickly and I was with him. My favorite 2 pets in 3 months. Let's hope we're done with this now! I just got "over" Tucker, now Skeeter. Skeeter was my very first pet. The first one that was solely MINE. He had a tough life and used everyone of those 9 lives and then some! He had a broken tail, compressed disc in his back, he was bit in the eye by a ball python. He had URI's constantly, kitty asthma, anal glad problems, thyroid, then the renal failure. He was ready to go.

Thank you...I just got the phone call that his ashes are back. I now have 3 cats left, a GSP, and another on the way here in July...we will pick him up in September. Oh, I also have a bird and 2 kids (3 if you count my husband...).
