If you have one, how big is it? What kind of fish do you have? Are you happy with your decision to start a salt water aquarium?

We have a 95 gallon salt water fish aquarium and a 65 gallon built into a wall. In one we have all the dosile fish (2 clowns and 2 yellow angel fish) and in the 65 gallon one we have many different fish. We have turbo snalis and peppermint shrimp also in these tanks. Yes we are happy we decided to go into the salt water fish. They are fun to watch and when the moon light is on at night it is also fun to watch all the creatures come out at night that do not come out in the day.

How hard is it to take care of a salt water tank? We only have ever had fresh water cichlids... I have always thought of saltwater but have heard they are a pain to take care of. Just wondering?

They are not hard to take care of at all. And sometimes it depends on the set up that you have. Filter system and mthings liek that are a big major factor in how clean a tank will stay also. The salt is not that hard to control either. We don't really have any salt to clean on our tanks. The only time we will get salt to clean is if we slop some water out of the tank like when we do a water change to the tank but if you wipe it up and get it all you should have no problem. Of course you have to do water checks like (ni trates, PH level ammonia & etc) but that is even much simpler now too. We like the differnet things that go on in a salt water fish tank that you don't get in a fresh water one. Like the creatures that come out at night, our mated clown fish eggs and the hitchhikers that come along in the crushed rock that you buy at the fish store. Hithickers like crabs, snails, anemones and many other things. We also have feather dusters, shrimp, coral, sea urchins and many other things. Setting up a salt water fish tank though takes lots of patients. Unlike fresh water fish you can not just set up the tank and put the fish in it right away. You have to wait till the slat water tank cycles which it took ours about a month then you always want to start out with the most hardiest fish on the market and that is any damsel fish. They are a hard fish to kill so they will with stand alot of mistakes you may make with your tank. IF you would like to know more i have lots of info i can give you on how to get started and things like that.
